Here are some frequently asked questions to put your mind at rest about Victor Gache Horse Transport Ltd.

  • What are your full Terms and Conditions?

  • Are there any hidden costs I should worry about?
    We are a VAT registered company so all of our UK quotes are plus 20% VAT. Our standard charge for waiting time (e.g. at a venue, vet practice, saddle fitting etc) is £25 per hour. Both these costs will have been specified in our quotation. Please see our full terms and conditions above for any other possible extra charges.
  • Do you have all your transportation licenses and insurance?
    Absolutely, Victor Gache Horse Transport Ltd, our vehicles and our drivers all have UK and EU type 2 (long journeys) certification for transport of equines. We hold Care, Custody and Control Insurance and our vehicles are insured to transport for Hire and Reward purposes. We have an International Goods Vehicle Operator’s Licence number OK1125471. Please ask to see copies of any of our certification if you have any concerns.
  • Are your lorries Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) Compliant?
    Yes – all of our transporters are Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) compliant for cost efficient horse transportation in the London area.
  • What other safety features do your lorries have for the comfort of my horses?
    All the horses are visually monitored by CCTV from the cab whilst in transport. Also, all the lorries have temperature monitoring to ensure the horses remain at the appropriate temperature at all times. Our trucks have full height and width partitions to ensure that horses cannot step on their neighbours or under, round or over a partition.
  • My horse is fussy about which direction he faces – can I choose to make sure he will be comfortable?
    Yes, we can transport horses both forward facing and in herringbone formation so if your horse prefers one or the other you just have to let us know. Your horse’s comfort is our main priority.
