Drawing on our vast experience of all types of horse transport, we believe the Oakley Racemaster is the ultimate 3.5ton horsebox. We transport many young, inexperienced or infrequent travellers and we find that they are less disorientated by forward facing travel. The fully adjustable air suspension also offers superior stability and ride comfort.

There is CCTV and air circulating fans for the horses to keep them as cool as possible during hot and humid days.

The basic layout is two stalls with chest partitions but these can be opened up, with top grills added, so that horses can be completely enclosed if appropriate for comfort or safety.

 

This is also an excellent option on international journeys to enable us to feed on the floor, when safe to do so, to help prevent travel sickness. Alternatively, the space can be adjusted to accommodate small ponies or a mare and foal.

Although we have complete faith in the build quality, strength and stability of our 3.5ton truck, unlike many of our competitors, we don’t always feel that it is the right transport option for a big horse, particularly if it is young or inexperienced. If your horse is 17hh or over, we may well advise that you consider a bigger vehicle.
